Actor Oh Seung-yoon is slated to be playing a gay role in an upcoming Korean TV drama. Major network JTBC will air the new drama, called ‘Romance is my Nature’ in Korean, in July. Extreme Job director Lee Byoung-heon will direct the new series. Oh was a famous child actor. His baby face now garners him top TV roles and hundreds of thousands of followers on social media. There is otherwise not much LGBT visibility in mainstream television and music in socially conservative South Korea.
