Relationships are hard work. What are some of the warning signs that you need to watch out for? Let’s take a look at some red flags that might indicate that your love-life is heading into troubled waters.
You feel offended
If your partner seems oblivious to your feelings, you need to start questioning what’s going on. Sure, sometimes we say things without thinking, but if you’re seeing a consistent pattern where you don’t feel that your emotions are being taken into consideration, then that needs to be addressed.
Your partner doesn’t respect you
It’s often said that familiarity breeds contempt, but that doesn’t mean that you have to accept a lack of consideration or a lack of respect – no matter how long you’ve been together.
Our relationships change over time, but unless you’ve got a bedrock of respect for each other then it’s hard to see how you’re going to sustain your romance.
Your partner doesn’t support you
One of the indicators of a successful relationship is that you and your partner are each other’s biggest cheerleader. You need to feel that your partner is on your side – and vice-versa.
You both often lie to each other
We all have slightly different versions of the truth, but if it’s clear that you’re not being up-front with each other, it’s time to dig a little deeper. What are you not being honest about? Why aren’t you being honest with each other?
You don’t trust each other
Trust is a pretty important foundation for any connection between people. Can you trust your partner? If not, that’s an issue.
You often find yourselves loudly swearing in public
When your private frustrations bubble out into public situations then it’s generally an indicator that things are starting to spiral out of control.
You enjoy being alone more than being together
It’s okay to feel a sense of relief when you get some time to yourself and you crave a bit of head-space to just focus on yourself for a bit, but if you start to prefer your alone time to the time that you spend together then it’s probably time to take a closer look at what’s going on in your relationship.
Your partner publicly humiliates you
This is a bit of a red line for most people. No matter what issues you’re struggling with in your relationship, when things start getting malicious, it’s hard to see how your relationship is going to recover.

I have submitted multiple reports regarding this scammer. Unfortunately, fridae has not reacted yet. Fridae even approved this scammer's fake photo (my photo) hours after I filed a complaint. Very unprofessional.
Users, please beware!
I may sound cynical here, but two people who are together and want to stay involved with each other, should remember to be careful in choosing one's friends and who they let into their home life. Often friends and acquaintances have hidden agendas, especially when they are keen on one or the two partners, or if they have already shared a bed with the two in an 'open' relationship, they can have designs on one of them. It happens more often than most of us realise (tho' I'm happy to say, not to me in our relationship as we are 'closed' to all outside dalliances - okay, so in our free-and-easy scene this won't work for everybody but it suits us and we are fine with it.)
Sadly, it's a truism that the real world out there (gay and non-gay) can be a brutal, even nasty place and there are many pitfalls two people who want to be together, have to know about and to navigate. Remember what I've written, often so-called friends can be destructive. Enjoy them as friends, but watch them with care.
I may opening a dangerous door here in saying this, but say it I must. Another factor that often wreaks havoc in newly established relations is when the two partners are basically not compatible with each other to begin with.
Many of my friends who have had short-term affairs that always end tll me, they knew from the first that there as something that felt not quite right with their situation. But they went along with it as they wanted to be with someone. And sadly, it ended all too soon.
I try to not be a prophet of doom, and I know there are many good and caring gay people out there who want to be in a good relationship and are prepared to put in the effort and the time to make it work. To succeed, try to find one of those and go with it.
Use your common sense (we all have it) and you will know when someone who is right for you, comes along. I did and it happened. You can do it too, and if you already have, good on you!!

This is the THIRD scammer with fake photos of Korean idols (& the 2nd one that I have reported) that has contacted me on Fridae, but administration does nothing about it!! Why don't you check these FAKE scammer profiles BEFORE allowing them on this site?
Several Fridae users (including myself) have commented that Fridae is becoming famous for fake scammers, & is becoming an unsafe site coz admin does nothing to protect genuine users from these scammers.
Please delete Hwangson89 account from this site before someone else is scammed on Fridae!"
Everyone, beware of the many fake scammer accounts here. It appears that admin does nothing to protect you!
