Next is directed Lee Tamahori, an action filmmaker who has less grace and subtlety than a woodcutter. He chops up his plot and character logic haphazardly, and hopes we'll keep watching simply for the action sequences.
Nicolas Cage plays a small-time magician who has the ability to see two minutes into the future. He has kept his ability a secret all these years, but an FBI agent (played by Julianne Moore, who seems to have dropped out of good films) discovers it and forces him to help her stop a terrorist plot.
All this while, Nicolas keeps having visions of a woman (the luscious Jessica Biel) whom he's never met until now. Soon, Nic and Jessica are on the run from the FBI and the terrorists.
This movie has bad special effects and an equally bad Nicolas Cage haircut. We can't help but the yell the obvious: "Neeeeexxt...."
