Canadian crooner Mark Huculak released a few new tracks on his MySpace page, including the gut wrenching ballad "She Cries." The tracks show off what a remarkable talent Huculak is. Not only because of the song's poignant lyrics, but also because of Huculak's ability to use his voice to convey and stir up an emotion with listeners.
The handsome crooner grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. As a kid he started to perform while studying jazz, tap and ballet. After finishing high school, he moved to Ontario, where he continued his education in the Sheridan College Theatre Program. Mark studies included music, theory, dance and acting. After college, he continued his career as an actor performing two seasons at the Stratford
Festival of Canada. His work garnered him the Tyrone Guthrie award to further pursue a career as a recording artist.
Keep your eye on Huculak in 2008. Often compared to the sound of Gavin DeGraw and Maroon 5, Huculak just finished working
on album material with producer Jeff Dawson who also produced Grammy nominated Daniel Powter's "Bad Day."
This home studio version of "She Cries" is gorgeous as it is, but I imagine it could even be more dramatic with a huge string and orchestral portion towards the outro of the song to intensify its grand emotion.
