Wanted is just friggin' amazing! We haven't seen such hard-hitting and stylish action sequences since John Woo met Chow Yun Fat. Interestingly, Wanted is made by a foreign filmmaker who � like John � was lured to Hollywood after the smash success of his films back home.

His name is Timur Bekmambetov and he hails from Russia. His first two films, the cool vampire flicks Nightwatch and Daywatch, are the two highest-grossing Russian films of all time. Wanted will definitely break his personal box-office record, as well as a few Hollywood's summer figures.

Mark our words: This movie will probably launch him as the hottest new action director on the international scene.

Wanted stars James McAvoy (he's everywhere now!) as a mousy accountant who is informed by a mysterious woman (Angeline Jolie) that his father has been killed by a secret organization. To avenge his father's death, James trains up and becomes the ultimate killing machine.

Based on a popular cult comics created by Mark Millar and J G Jones, Wanted boasts some sensational action sequences that have to be seen to be believed. Timur has the visual eye of commercial directors � tilting, swerving and swirling his camera at unlikely angles to get the most breathlessly original shots.

We liked it so much, we want to see it again. For action junkies, we suggest you drop everything, put on a helmet and get to the cinema for some skull-crunching action. Don't miss it!
