His latest  "I Have A Vision" clearly outlines his view on the current state of dance music. "The soulless dance music that most people have access to is so commercialized and sugar coated. The best tunes are so often underground now,"  explains Davis Jr. "My approach is to merge aspects of more popular genres like soul and hip hop into my sound because there's a younger generation that may not have grown up on dance music like I did. And it's important to have better songs at varied tempos so the tracks are not always at 127 or 125 bpm."

Featuring a sultry vocal turn by Erin Martin, Davis' new single is remixed by French electro maestro Fred Falke and DFA talent The Juan MacLean. Falke gives the song a soaring, feel-good vibe with swathes of synths and a low-slung bass. The Juan MacLean retooled the entire track and turned it a 9-minute acidic disco fix.
