Only 17% of companies interviewed have policies in place against discrimination based on SOGIE (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity or Expression). All are from BPO/BPS and Foreign-headquartered organizations.
In what is likely a ‘world-first’, Scotland is set to become the first nation globally to include teaching of LGBT rights and inclusion within the mandated state school curriculum, without exceptions. This appears to be very good news indeed!
Hong Kong has seen a number of positive developments in relation to sporting activities even if political developments and LGBT rights have lagged behind.
Earlier this year, at The Economist Pride and Prejudice 2018 conference in Hong Kong, the LGBTQ Glassdoor project was featured as one of the three finalists in the Asian region for projects that support the LGBTQIA+ Community and their rights.
It is great to see so many LGBT Festivals being held over the region and the 2018 Hong Kong Pride Parade will be held on Saturday, November 17th at 2pm.
