Two-time Oscar winner for Best Actress Hilary Swank stars as a widow who cannot get over her husband's death. Fortunately, the loving late husband (Gerard Butler of 300) has made ample preparations to help her through the process of bereavement. After the funeral, Hilary starts receiving letters from him, which were written before he died but systematically posted later on, to help her move on.
Based on a novel by Cecelia Ahern, P.S. I Love You is the sort of sentimental love story which people who love books by Nicolas Sparks (The Notebook) or James Waller (The Bridges of Madison County) would enjoy. You really have to be a sucker for old-fashioned romances to believe every one of the movie's conceits including one that sends her all the way to Ireland.
If, like us, you're a little older, a little wiser and a lot more jaded about love, we suggest you watch Juno instead.
