Somewhere between a tray of blueberry muffins and the latest CD of Sia, you will soon be able to find the music of Hilary McRae at a Starbucks counter near you.
The singer was recently signed by Hear Music, the label launched by Starbucks and Concord Music Group. McRae, 21, began crafting much of the material for her debut album, titled "Through These Walls," while attending Boston's Berklee School of Music on a songwriting scholarship. Additional song ideas came to her during the summer of 2006, while she toured Central and South America as the keyboardist and backing vocalist for Latin artist Christian Castro. By the time she returned home to Boca Raton, FL, where she lives with her father, the singer started putting together much of the material for her forthcoming debut.
Listen to her single "Everyday" below. It is a vibrant pop-rock tune featuring McRae's soulful crooning that will surely make its way to VH-1 and adult-contemporary playlists very soon.
