Free Download: Lykke Li Remixes

Two excellent Lykke Li remixes have been making their rounds on the mighty internets, but if you missed them then make sure to grab them now.

The crafty folks of Metronomy and The Black Kids cut up Li's last single "I'm Good, I'm Gone" and patched it back together to create a fun new little number.

In an interview with Time Out London, Lykke Li explains that Madonna has been her biggest inspiration. "The first tape I got was Madonna's 'Immaculate Collection.' I'm
inspired by the way she started from nothing and didn't have a big
musical talent, but had a big dream. That's why I went to New York when
I was 19 - because Madonna did."

This summer, three years after her first trip to the States, Li will be returning to the U.S. to promote the U.S. release of her lo-fi debut album "Youth Novels." The celebrated indie artist recorded the album together with Bjorn Yttling (of Peter Bjorn and John fame) over the last 10 months. It is one of best pop albums to hit this year with Li's earnest storytelling and sweet-voiced vocals.
