This self-proclaimed "noise maker" from downtown New York via Miami left the world of academia to build a career in music. She traded a past as a published neuroscience and medical school student to pursue the science of pop. The first result of her experimentation is "The Noise That People Make," the first installment of a series of EPs that was released on iTunes today.
Grab a totally guilt-free MP3 of Madison's "Lights Low" to get a good taste of what she's all about. Taken from her new EP, "Lights Low" is a chunky brew of alternative pop defined by a kinetic, pulsating beat, Madison's straight-up talk-sing delivery and a glossy chorus. It's sweet pop with just the right amount of crunch to make it last. Very promising. Also, grab the excellent RAC remix of "Number One" which is a beautifully-crafted dancefloor filler. Highly recommended.
