Lover Lover are Eleanor Bodenham and Martin Craft, two long-time musical friends from London who partnered with producer Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun, Cirque de Soleil) in Paris to establish a dazzling new pop project.
Their atmospheric brand of pop combines Eleanor's folk-curled, crystalline voice with shimmering electronics, chiming guitars and dusty beats to create a timeless sound that is truly breathtaking. "If Beach House met the Eurythmics and Fleetwood Mac on a late summer's road trip, it might sound like this, all polaroid-faded and sunset-red with the wide-eyed innocence of a John Hughes’s film," a press release poignantly states.
"Freebirds" is Lover Lover's debut single that will be released on May 2 on Cross Keys Records, a homespun label founded by a cohort of vinyl addicts and set up in late 2010 by Parlophone’s Alex Eden-Smith. "Freebirds" will be released as a limited 7” vinyl and as digital download worldwide. Listen to "Freebirds" in the player below.
