I wrote previously that Frank Ocean (aka Odd Future's Christopher Breaux) is one of the most exciting new male R&B voices to impact the scene this year. Combining chart-savvy production stylings with crisp melodies, Ocean serves up a premium blend of intensely soulful, pop-infused R&B that will have you sit up and listen.
The singer brings on the goosebumps with the video for the gorgeous piano ballad "Acura Integurl," which is a track not previously included on his independently released "nostalgia, ULTRA" LP. After different labels battled to release the album prior to Ocean going independent, the artist is now working with Def Jam to package new material along with tracks from "nostalgia, ULTRA" for release this summer.
Frank Ocean finished up a run of Odd Future dates on the East Coast where he performed "She" from Tyler, The Creator's album and a couple of other tracks from "nostalgia, ULTRA." Keep an eye out for other select live appearances that Frank Ocean may pop up at this summer while tuning his own show in support of the re-release of "nostalgia, ULTRA."
