Out of the crooked timber of humanity, no straight thing was ever made.

An occasionally well-filmed but still unengaging attempt that never gets beyond feeling like one is seeing a very huge sandbox game of soldiers. 

Fridae chatted with David Reichert, the director of photography from Jacque Perrin’s visually stunning ocean documentary, Oceans. While the film itself made us feel like a fish amongst fishes, David made us feel we were with him on his ocean travels.

You’ve been invited to swim with the fishes. 

With Gru, kids finally get an antihero that they can look up to.
