Are you 12-years-old? Then maybe you might enjoy this cheap, roller-coaster ride of the movie that's designed for the whole and wholesome family.
Brendan Fraser who's nearly cornered the B-grade adventure market plays a geologist whose brother disappeared 10 years ago, leaving behind a young son (Josh Hutcherson) and a paperback copy of Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth, filled with scribbled notations. Following the clues in the book, the two take a trip to Iceland where they meet the lovely Anita Briem who agrees to be their tour guide into the earth's core...
Filled with CGI-ed settings and creations, there are plenty of childish thrills and spills to be had. If you can ignore the loopy plot and the lack of character motivations for doing what they are doing, then you might just discover your inner child again.
